Letterpress: One Week LaterOctober 31, 2012

Letterpress is one week old today, and what a crazy week it has been! I'm almost finished with the first update which should make the game a bit more robust and pave the way for some fantastic new features. I'll keep everyone posted from @atebits and @letterpressapp. Look for it soon!

Letterpress climbed to #14 on the App Store charts and is currently the #1 Word Game on iOS. It was featured by Apple as Editors' Choice. TouchArcade calls it “Simple And Awesome”. Macworld says “Excellent”. The Next Web calls it “Fantastic”. iMore says “painfully addictive”. I also talked about the story behind it with The Verge and MacStories.

In less than a week, we've blasted past 15 million words played! It has inspired a new form of poetry. And even those folks who lost power have found a way to make do.

And thank you to United Pixelworkers for creating the stunning Letterpress T-shirts in two gorgeous themes (Light), (Dark). I'll be donating proceeds to the American Red Cross to help with Hurricane Sandy relief.

Thank you to everyone who downloaded Letterpress, this is all for, and because of, you. Some great updates are in the works, and I can't wait to see where this little game goes.

atebits 2.0October 15, 2012

In 2007 I left Apple and started my own company. In 2010 that company was acquired by Twitter. Today I'm giving it another shot. Say hello to atebits 2.0.

My goal is simple. Make things. Fun things, useful things, new things, improved things. Some may be popular, some may be failures. But I love creating, so that's what I'm going to do.

The first thing will be an app and that app will be a game. Can't wait to share it with you.
