Our kindergarten class at Edison Elementary in Eugene, Oregon is studying farms. We did a field trip to a farm that supports biodiversity and heirloom seeds. One student has drawn a horse above. We are reading children's books about farms. Favorites are Cows in the Kitchen by June Crebbin, Mouse's Birthday by Jane Yolen, and The Story of Half-Chicken illustrated by Ivar Da Coll.
