Use your social media channels to build your brand. You may not be making direct sales, but that is not what social media is for. Find the right platform where your target audience is hanging out and build a presence there. This will give you a loyal following.

Assuming you don’t already have a specific product that you are trying to sell, then you’ll need to zero in on the right area.

Your food topic is called your niche and is what is going to separate you from the competition. For instance, let’s say that you are trying to get some business as a personal chef.

3 – Solve a problem

The most successful businesses are ones that solve a problem. And your food-based business should do the same. Whether it is a ready-made product or a cookbook, you are going to need to solve a problem that your market has.

If you have a product, then you need to show how it can solve the problem of not enough time to cook dinner for a busy mom. If you are writing a cookbook, then it should help a person that needs help in cooking healthy meals for themselves.
