Earth Day Crossword Puzzle is a classic puzzle with an Earth Day subject running through the words. This is a real crossword puzzle with great clues and solid answers. Well worth trying out enjoying. There is not much more to say about this.

Earth Day Word Search

Grades 3 & Up

Earth Day Word Search is another Earth Day motif game. This word search comes in two sizes, small and large, and the words are expertly concealed. This is a great word search game that will attract a lot of attention and can be competitive when timing the completion of a grid.

Grade: 3 to 5

Conclusions: Great family and individual fun.

Easter Crossword Puzzle

Grades 3 & Up

Easter Crossword Puzzle is another crossword puzzle but this time with an Easter motif tuning through the clues and solutions. It’s a crossword puzzle, so there is not much more to add.

Grade: 3 to 5

Conclusions: An Easter based crossword puzzle that can be printed or played online.

Easter Egg Hunt

Grades 2 & Up

Easter Egg Hunt is a hidden picture game. However, the graphics could be better. This game uses a semi-opaque white egg overlayed on a background picture. A better version would be an interactive background where the eggs are hidden in plain sight as part of the scenery. Bottom line is this is a nice game for small children, better for Pre K and definitely not suitable for grades 3 and up.

Grade: 2 to 5

Conclusions: Great for Pre K to 1, anything above that is missing the mark.

Easter Word Search

Grades 1 & Up

Easter Word Search is a word search grid in two levels and hides the words very well. This is another great individual or competition game using speed and accuracy as the scoring method.

Grade: 1 to 5

Conclusions: A great word search game for a wide age range.

Equal Proportions

Grades 4 & Up

Equal Proportions is a fraction game, where the player has to provide an equal fraction to one displayed. So, if you see ½ and there is a 4, you need to pick the number 2 from the four numbers in the option box under the screen.

So far so good, however, this is a dirt bike game and dirt bikes race. This is a timed game, where the faster you solve the problem, the faster your bike will go and take the lead. There are four bikes, three are computer controlled and one player bike. Acceleration comes from selecting the correct answer fast.

Grade: 4 to 5

Conclusions: A great fraction training game and really keeps the mind focused. The competitive edge for speed helps hone immediate reflexive answering that improves overall comprehension of fractions.

Equivalent Fractions BINGO

Grades 3 & Up

Equivalent Fractions BINGO is a great game with many levels. There are three board sizes and two game types, the regular and the challenge games. The three board types are 3 x 3, 4 x 4 and 5 x 5 grids. The idea of the game is to provide an equivalent fraction to the one displayed. Winning requires a bingo-style end, with a horizontal or vertical line being completed.

Grade: 3 to 5

Conclusions: This is a great game, the graphics are neat and crisp, and the choices to answer help train young minds in the comprehension of fractions.

Estimating

Grades 2 & Up

Estimating is all about rounding numbers to their nearest high or low place and then performing calculations. This game gives the player the four arithmetic options, addition, subtraction, dividing, and multiplication. Every game comes with different levels, from units to thousands. The player is given a mathematical problem to solve, where one or more numbers have to be rounded off to their nearest high or low place.

Grade: 2 to 5

Conclusions: A very good mathematical training application that teaches the player to think in terms of estimations, the closeness of numbers and the four basic calculation methods.

Factory Ball Christmas

Grades 4 & Up

Factory Ball Christmas is a Christmas version of the Factory Balls Game, and in this game, the player is challenged by creating colored Christmas balls for a Christmas tree. There are balls, a tree and different paint and pattern boxes to select. The player is presented with a specific design and must create the design on the ball by using the paint and patterns. The player picks a ball with the mouse, drags it to a box to get the desired effect and moves it from box to box to complete the process.

It’s harder than it looks and is a great game for concentration, focus, and logic. This is a great way to teach the basics of following recipes, where only one way is possible to recreate the final product.

Grade: 4 to 5

Conclusions: A great game, can be played by younger than grade 4 players, but will require patience initial help from an adult.

Factory Balls

Grades 4 & Up

Factory Balls is the first in a series of Factory ball painting games that helps develop logical thought, understanding processes, and using memory. In this game, the player is given a number of balls to paint. The painting process is different for each ball and includes anything from standard paint to blowing up balls for partial paint, creating lines, patterns and other interesting results. The player drags a ball using the mouse from process to process to complete the desired design.

Grade: 4 to 5

Conclusions: This is a fantastic logic application that requires focus to process, accuracy and detail. It is about understanding how things work together and which steps come before and after. Sort of understanding a recipe but without the recipe book.
