The creator and director of the Tampa-based retail gasoline firm is thrilled to add a Palmetto location to the company’s already healthy portfolio of Florida filling stations.

Faiz Salti, the founder, owner, and director of retail gasoline firm Florida Oil Corp has announced that his company has made another major acquisition, having recently finished negotiations to buy a gas station in Palmetto, Florida. Counting all of its other holdings, that increases the number of gas stations under Florida Oil Corp’s ownership to an impressive forty-seven—a remarkable achievement for a company that has only existed for a little less than three years.

“On behalf of myself and the entire team at Florida Oil Corp, I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to the Palmetto station. The Florida Oil Corp family eagerly anticipates integrating the station’s facilities and staff with our own. And I want the following facts to be known: We will supply the Palmetto station with all the resources it needs to be even more successful than it already is, but otherwise, nothing will change,” says Faiz Salti, before making a small joke. “Every time Florida Oil Corp brings a new gas station into its fold, I say some version of the same thing. I’m extremely pleased to do so once again, now for the forty-seventh time! And I hope in the future, I’ll be repeating myself even more.”

Located in Manatee County, Florida, Palmetto is a township situated on the southeastern portion of Tampa Bay and has long been regarded as a crucial western hub between the larger cities of Fort Myers and Tampa.

Additionally, Palmetto is also home to Palmetto Historical Park, a noted tourist attraction and heritage site that houses and preserves important buildings and artifacts from Florida’s colonial and pre-industrial past.

As such, it is the hope of Florida Oil Corp that their new gas station will take advantage of the high volume of traffic passing through the town, appealing to the gasoline needs of tourists, day-trippers, and commuters alike, and ultimately strengthening the company’s bottom line.

“One of the major reasons why the scouting team at Florida Oil Corp thought that Palmetto would be a good candidate location for expanding the company’s portfolio of gas stations is the city’s well-demonstrated history as a traffic hub,” says Salti, elaborating, “In fact, I’m told that upwards of tens of thousands of cars and trucks pass through the city each day, for both business and pleasure. I’m confident that a substantial percentage of those will patronize our new establishment to fill their vehicles.”

Regarding his impressions of the town itself, Faiz Salti states, “Palmetto is clearly an idyllic community, very much so in touch with its roots. Before concluding negotiations to buy our new station, I spent an afternoon there, walking through the neighborhood and getting to know the locals.

After doing so, I can say without equivocation that Palmetto is going to be a wonderful fit for us, and the city will welcome Florida Oil Corp with open arms. The town’s business landscape seems to be thriving—even under present conditions, which is something of a wonder.

I encountered a number of business owners who operate shops on the same block as our new gas station, talked with them a while, and they gave me the lay of the land. In short, they told me that the municipality is recovering from the pandemic nicely, customers are returning to stores at numbers nearing the same levels as two years ago, and profits are up across the board.

I was also told that, shortly after moving into Palmetto, our company will be asked to join the local chamber of commerce. On the whole, Palmetto seems to be a congenial place, very conducive to our way of doing business. We should all be so lucky as to hail from such a beautiful city, home to such friendly and hardworking people.”

All totaled, Florida Oil Corp owns almost forty-seven gas stations all through the state of Florida. Outside of its Palmetto location, the company is the proud owner of gas stations in Orlando, Bradenton, Port Richey, New Port Richey, and Sarasota, among a great many others.

Contrary to traditional industry practice, Florida Oil Corp does not associate itself with anyone gas multinational, rather operating its stations under the marquee of several highly recognizable global brands, such as Sunoco, Shell, BP, Mobil, Go Market, Thornton’s, Chevron, and Circle K.

The privately-owned company was officially incorporated in December of 2018, listing Faiz Salti as its registered agent. It has since garnered a reputation for being both ambitious and durable, competing head-to-head with the most well-established firms in Florida’s notoriously competitive retail gas station sector.

Florida Oil Corp is listed with SunBiz.org, which is an official state of Florida website, on their Division of Corporations registry.
