The Covid-19 pandemic lockdown was tough on most of us worldwide. Still, the live conferences and streamings helped many continue their lives to the best of their abilities. Even when getting together with friends or coworkers was impossible for months in many countries.

Live streaming provided the heavily needed personal communication we were craving, kept businesses running, work teams connected, and even gave us access to entertainment or hobbies that we couldn’t enjoy any other way because of the remote situation.

Connecting People

I cannot even imagine what the pandemic would be like without the internet and social media to connect everyone. Live streamings made us feel like we were witnessing everything first-hand, as close as possible to actually being there. But it also gave us something to share with our loved ones when we couldn’t physically share anything.

Brought Entertainment and Joy

Entertainment played a very relevant part in surviving the pandemic to most of us. It helped us cope with the lockdown, soothing our unsettled minds and giving us a good laugh, or at least a good distraction.

From streaming platforms to online gaming, the transit on entertainment sites rose significantly throughout the pandemic. Casumo’s live roulette games and other casino games became a trendy option for those looking for entertainment.

Music & Live Shows

With festivals postponed, gigs canceled, and most venues shut down, the primary income for bands, circuses, theatre workers, and many other artists was stopped. This created a terrible economic struggle for them as businesses and individuals.

The live streaming platforms allowed artists to do shows with the required health measures and generate revenue from selling these virtual tickets.

Business & Work

With the massive product presentation events canceled, many companies turned to stream services for alternative ways of reaching their audiences and promoting their services. Thanks to that, the reach of many of these businesses increased, it gave them more visibility and facilitated international deals for many medium-sized companies.

From the operational perspective, most big companies had to adapt to a remote working situation. Many used online live conferences to replace the constant meetings needed to keep a company well communicated and working as a team.

Will This Affect The Way Things Work When We Resume Our Regular Activities?

The streaming services and live video popularity will continue to grow even when we resume a more “normal” lifestyle because the required technology is more accessible. Now that we learned how easy it is to meet with others from our home office, chances are it will continue to evolve the way we see communication in the future.
