But the Weather application users sometimes experience some bugs and errors caused by defective application files,  incompatibility issues, or system updates. For the Weather app to work correctly on your Windows 10 machine, make sure there is no third-party application halting the Weather app, and also, your Windows 10 version is up to date. Also, do a pending restart after updating windows features that might contain the Weather app. If the above methods and ways don’t work, follow the below methods to fix the Weather app’s issue of not working or crashing in Windows 10.

Solution 1: Reset the Weather app

In this solution for fixing the Weather app, we will first reset the Weather application and then update it from the Windows Microsoft store. Resetting the weather app from the Microsoft store will remove the Weather app’s current version and restores a clean version that was originally installed. So if the current version of the Weather app has any issues, its functionalities will be rolled back. Ensure that the Microsoft Windows store is set to automatically update the application.

1. Find the Apps & features either from the Windows Settings menu or from the search dialogue box.

2. Choose the Weather app after scrolling down.

3. Click on the Advanced Options to open the reset button and then press the reset button.

4. Click the Weather Reset button again to confirm the resetting procedure for the Weather app.

Solution 2: Using the Windows app store Troubleshooter

1. Open the troubleshooter of your windows either from the Windows search box or from the Windows settings menu.

2. From the troubleshoot section, click on the Additional Troubleshooter.

3. Scroll down and find/click on the Windows Store Apps.

4. Now, Run the troubleshooter for the Windows Store Apps.

4. Restart your PC for this troubleshooting to get applied on your Windows Store apps.

Solution 3: Reinstall the Weather App

Sometimes resetting the Weather app won’t work, so you can try reinstalling the Weather app from the windows store by first uninstalling it from your windows machine and then again installing it by clicking on the Get this app button on the Weather app.

Solution 4: Update the Weather App

1. Open the Microsoft Windows store either from the start menu shortcut or from the Windows settings menu.

2. Click on the See more button from the top right side of the Microsoft Store.

3. Download and updates section of the Mircosoft store will list out app updates for your PC.

4. Click on the Get updates button on the application which you want to update.

Microsoft Windows Store will automatically download updates for weather or any other applications you want to update.

Solution 5: Reset Microsoft Store Cache

Sometimes even Microsoft store files get corrupted, and various store apps work abnormally. To overcome this corrupted store cache, you can solve this by clearing the Microsoft Windows store’s cache.

1. Open or invoke the Run Dialog Box on your windows machine either by pressing Windows + R keys simultaneously or through the search box.

2. Type in the keyword called wsreset in the Run box and press the enter key.

3. A CMD or Command Prompt window will pop up after pressing the OK button.

4. Type this command WSReset.exe and then enter. This command will reset the Microsoft Windows store.

5. After the above steps, reboot your PC.

6. Now open Windows hen type this command SFC /SCANNOW and press the enter key. It will run the Windows System File Checker and will take some time to identify errors and erroneous files and fix them.

7. Once the Windows System File Checker’s operation gets completed, restart your computer.

8. Now type in the below command in Windows Power Shell:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

9. This power shell command will scan the whole windows system to identify Microsoft store-related issues like store files got corrupted and other conflicting files, etc.

9. Once the above code in the Power shell completes its execution, restart your computer.

10. Now try to open and run the Weather application and check it works or not.

Solution 6: Allowing full access to your user

Sometimes in if there is more than one user have access to your computer environment. Each of the users might not have access to the same set of permissions as the admin. So if some other user has installed the Weather app, you might need to grant full access to yourself first.

1. Head over to the following path.

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

2. Under the Security tab, grant full permission to your user after clicking on the Edit button next to your user name.

3. Check the Full control dialog box from the newly opened dialog box and then click ok to apply changes.

4. Now, reboot your computer or PC to check if the Weather app is working correctly or not.

Solution 7:  Rollback your Windows 10 to the restore point

1. Open or invoke the Run Dialog Box on your windows machine either by pressing Windows + R keys simultaneously or through the search box.

2. Enter the keyword called rstrui and then click the ok button.

3. Select the option called Choose a different restore point radio button on the system restore window and then click the Next button.

4. You might want to see all the restore points by clicking on the Show more restore points option.

5. Select a restore point of your Windows 10 when the Weather app was working without any issues.

6. While restoring Windows 10, you might need to reinstall some programs or applications. An option called Scan for affected programs will display what software or programs were removed in this process.

7. Click the Next button and finish the roll-back procedure on your Windows 10 machine.
