
As we all know that Discord is one of the most used VoIP-based communication platforms, allow a user to communicate with other gamers. Apart from these text and video chatting features, Discord offers a Noise Suppression feature. You can find this feature in the Discord audio setting. By default, Noise Suppression is disabled. You have to enable it.
But before going to enable it, you should know what is Noise Suppression and how to use it?
What is Krisp Noise Suppression?
As its name suggests, it is a noise-filtering software designed by Krisp. This machine-learning algorithm is included in Discord and available for free to use on any device.
Noise Suppression removes all possible background noises automatically, such as vacuum noise, dogs barking, vehicle horn. Till now, it is one of the most advanced and sophisticated tool for Noise Reduction.
Note that this feature will suppress sound from your side only. You can still hear background noise from another user. They have to enable this feature too so that you can hear their voice without any noise.

Noise Suppression uses CPU processing power, as it runs locally on your machine. Sometimes the feature will automatically disabled, as it doesn’t get enough processing power.
It will work with voice calls, video calls, and Live Streams. Also, you can use it on all devices.
How to Use Noise Suppression in Discord
To enable Krisp, go to this path:
Open Discord > Settings > Voice and Video > Advanced > Noise Suppression.
Other companies like Microsoft and Apple has also announced that they will soon release noise reduction feature to their communication apps including Microsoft Teams and Facetime.
